COGAT big update: 9-15 November

16.11.08

Usually COGAT publish reports daily. However, since the crossings were closed on 6 November, the flow of goods has been extremely low and they've elected to publish a report covering the whole week. So:

  • Bad news: Sufa, Karni and Kerem Shalom (the goods crossings) were all closed.
  • Reasonable news: Israel delivered 651,210 litres of fuel at Nahal Oz - that's about half the normal amount.
  • Good news: Erez stayed open for humanitarian and medical cases. 20 aid workers entered Gaza, 182 people left for medical treatment or to accompany patients, and 50 Palestinians entered Israel 'for humanitarian reasons'.

COGAT update 11 November

11.11.08

Bad news: Nahal Oz (the fuel terminal), Karni (the goods conveyor), Keren Shalom, Sufa and Erez (the passenger crossings) stayed closed today. Good news: Erez opened for medical cases again. 44 people, those needing medical care and their chaperones, crossed into Israel for treatment. More good news: 7 international aid workers went into Gaza; 9 left for Israel.

COGAT update 10 November

10.11.08

Bad news: Nahal Oz is still closed following the Israeli incursion and Hamas rockets last week. No fuel into Gaza today. More bad news: The Karni goods conveyor, Sufa and Keren Shalom were also closed today. Good news: Erez crossing is open! 46 medical cases went into Israel for treatment!
